A GUIDE TO QUEEN SONGS
Many a time a person has heard a song and wondered “I wonder what that’s all about…?” Well, as a means of helping people out, here, for the first time, is a comprehensive guide to the meanings behind some of the band Queen’s more well known songs.
Under Pressure… Okay, this one is obviously about being gay. Freddie Mecury spent most of his public life in the closet – witness the lyrics about being ‘free’ and ‘let me out’.
I Want to Break Free… As above, this is about wanting to come out of the closet.
Somebody to Love… This one is a plea to find someone to love, someone gay – as the lyrics highly suggest.
You’re my Best Friend… This is about a gay relationship, where Freddie’s partner is as much a friend as a lover.
Save Me – This is about the need to connect to someone gay.
Another One Bites the Dust… This one is about gay people when they stop being gay.
Bohemian Rhapsody… Obviously, this is about the pain that comes with being gay.
Fat Bottomed Girls… Ironically, this is actually about gay men.
Don’t Stop Me Now… This is about going all out and being gay, and not being afraid of being as gay as you can.
Champions… This is about being proud to be gay.
I Want It All… About wanting a gay man.
We Will Rock You… Gay sex.
Bicycle Race… This is a metaphor for being gay.
Princes of the Universe (Highlander theme)… Yeah, this is about being gay too.

Film & TV on DVD
Music, Movies, TV etc full of empty words with no substance. The media all sprouting the same empty philosophies and ideas. More concerned with appearance than substance etc.
Won't argue with I Want to Break Free. Freddie doing the vacuuming in stockings, what a video clip.
