NEWS
Yusef Islam, the artist formally known as Cat Stevens, was arrested today after vandalizing a synagogue in Jerulsalem. The Islamic one-time songwriter was protesting against anti-Muslim cartoons in the media. He was arrested after spray-painting the outside of the synagogue with lyrics from his hit song ‘Father and Son’. He was up to the second verse when he was stopped.

A bit of bad blood went down earlier ... (forgive and forget is my motto ... Me? I apologise for anything I said to you in a public domain ... okay ? ... I actually like your posts ... Actually, I'm sorry for what I wrote, okay? Sorry means I won't do it again. Enough said. Got that shit out of the way ... Okay ... moving on ....
I had to respond to this post ...
Cat Stevens? I so wish he hadn't converted ... and had just kept writing and singing songs ....
His voice? His lyrics? His music? The world needs more of that ...
Baby, Baby it's a wild world ...
My memories of Cat Stevens? Before he went all 'religious'? .... (Like I did ... I can so relate to what that man's going through ... and I don't mean that in a proud way either ... I'm only saying that religion is a great thing ... and sure ... go a bit fanatical on it ... but man ... Don't hide your light under a bushel ...
Me .. I pissed on my light and hid it under a thousand bushels ...
And guess what it took for someone to resurrect my light?
Not someone of my religion.
Someone from another religion ...
I'm so sick of religious intolerance. Why?
I'm sick of myself ...
Enough said ...
I just hope we can re-establish a net friendship ... There's enough hatred in the real world without transferring it all over to the virtual world ...
Going now ...
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooneeeeeeeee...

..it was obviously 'time to make a change..'
pity he didn't relax and take it easy,
sure, he's not young,
but he's certainly 'said and done enough.. now'
*lol*
shame. I agree with David on this one, I miss him terribly and loved his music, it defined an entire period of my life and still influences me to this day ... I hope this means a return to his former faith and the world he turned his back on ...
keep us posted on updates ...
thanks

Shame he only manages to generate negative press these days, "He is being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow" (Couldnt resist playing along with the quote game)
