Bruce Spence

I saw Bruce Spence, that great Australian (New Zealand) character actor who has appeared in Return of the King, Revenge of the Sith, the Matrix Revolutions and Mad Max 2 and 3. He was walking through Town Hall square, he's pretty tall and looks like he's getting old. He saw me staring at him but he didn't seem to mind. He went into a classical music CD store.

I also rode the train home at midday today and this guy sits down next to me and notices that I'm reading 'Catcher in the Rye'.
"You like that sort of stuff, do you?"
"Er, yeah, I just started reading it today"
"Not many people realise it, but books actually make you smarter"
"U-huh" (trying to read)
"Did you know that? You probably realise it. But the more you read" he taps his head, "The more knowledge you get, and the more intelligent you are"
"Right" (fuck off)
"You know how I know?" He gets up to get off, "Cause I used to do it too!" He looks really pleased with himself and then shouts, "And now I'm a writer!" He gets off.

He was old and annoying and he looked like he was only capable of writing gardening manuals.

Bruce Spence is the only human in Walking with Dinosaurs which was awesome.

That guy sounds smartz for reel. Shoulve got his name to read his books...
